One of the Sub League 2's most prestigious honors is the Outstanding Hitter Award. When the votes were counted, the 2009 recipient was the talented right fielder of the Saint Petersburg Cutters, Daniel Brown.
He starred this season with a .379 batting average, 139 hits, 9 home runs, 51 RBIs, a .420 OBP and 50 runs scored.

Jon Moore of the Henderson Magic had a fine season this year, and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2009.
The 25-year-old shortstop put up a .359 average and a .423 on-base percentage, piling up 147 hits, 10 doubles, 3 triples, 17 home runs, 67 RBIs and 71 runs scored.

The #1 pitcher in the Sub League 2 this season was Oakland reliever Greg Davis. He won the league's Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2009 by saving 12 games.
Davis also had 1 win and 1 loss in 14 appearances. He posted 2 strikeouts and 2 walks in 14 innings, permitted 11 base hits and compiled a 1.93 ERA.
