Ernest Snow of the Saint Paul Conquest proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Sub League 2 Outstanding Hitter Award.
Snow hit for a .330 average while collecting 150 hits, 28 doubles, 4 triples, 4 home runs, 51 RBIs and scoring 75 times.

 | Monday, August 31st, 2009: Great Year Gets Rangel SL1 Outstanding Hitter Award
Tomás Rangel of the Birmingham Mad Dogs had a fine season this year, and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2009.
The 24-year-old third baseman put up a .320 average and a .394 on-base percentage, piling up 104 hits, 26 doubles, 1 triple, 14 home runs, 58 RBIs and 49 runs scored.

 | Sunday, August 30th, 2009: Newark Reliever Takes Outstanding Pitcher Award
In 2009 when Newark reliever Gregg Harris strolled in from the bullpen, it spelled "Relief with a capital R". He usually put a quick end to any budding rally. For his sensational mound work he was voted the Sub League 2 Outstanding Pitcher Award winner.
The Music bullpen specialist converted 24 saves this year with a 3-1 won-lost record and 1.45 ERA. He appeared in 37 games and struck out 13 in 43.1 innings.
